Living In Faith Together 2016-2017
Provided by: Bethany, Faith, Messiah, Peace & Trinity Lutheran Churches

What happens at LIFT

We eat:
we start with a simple supper with a dessert and beverage

We make new friends:
we meet friends from other churches and from our community

We sing:
songs to celebrate what God is doing

We share Good News:
hear the story, act out the story, share it again

We get creative:
put your artistic skills to work on a cool craft idea

We pray:
what’s on your mind? Tell it to God

We worship:
God loves us and never lets us go; so we worship God

LIFT is free and everyone is  invited!

Children’s Change

picture1The Children who are part of L.I.F.T. are working to change the world.  We will be collecting an offering each month  during LIFT.  There are two ways that you can help!  You can bring change that we will send to ELCA World Hunger or you can bring non-perishable food items that we will donate to local food pantries.

Hunger facts

picture2795 million people around the world – that’s 1 in 10 – can’t access the food they need to live active, healthy lives. [1]

1 billion people live in extreme poverty on less than $1.25 per day. That’s 14.5% of the world’s population. [2]

At some point in 2014, more than 48 million people in the United States were unsure where their next meal might come from. [3]

46.7 million Americans were living in poverty in 2014. For a family of four, this means their annual household income was below $23,850. [4]
