Messiah offers many options for involvement – in addition to the Congregation Council and its committees, the following groups are active either seasonally or year-round:

 Bible Study

Formal Bible study is held Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m. This group is led by Pastor Susanne and meets in the conference room.


Men’s Bible Study

Men’s Bible Study is held the second and fourth Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the library.


Adult Forum

In Adult Forum, timely topics are examined from a scriptural point of view. The Adult Forum meets from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. in the church library.

Messiah Church Women (MCW)

Messiah has three women’s circles, each welcoming new members. Membership at Messiah is not required.

Ruth/Mary Elizabeth Circle – First Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.

Open Circle – First Wednesday, 3:00 p.m.

Sarah Circle – First Thursday, 7:00 p.m.

In each of these circles, you wil find friendship, fellowship and Bible study.

Exercise Class

Taught by a retired physical therapist. The class emphasizes stretches, mild strength building and balance work. It meets Mondays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. in the social hall.


During the spring, summer and autumn, a dedicated group of people take meticulous care of Messiah’s grounds. They meet regularly on Tuesdays to weed and water the flower beds, add mulch, and tend to the health of the trees on the grounds.


The Piecemakers are women and men who make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Members work from home as well as meet on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings at 9:00 in the conference room.
